The Czech capital has seen a rise in street names, but its most famous street, Boulevard Koln, has also seen a drastic change.
It’s been renamed Koln Street after the famous Czech poet.
The name was given to it in the early 19th century by a Serbian immigrant, as part of a plan to replace the main street of the old town.
But in the 1960s, the city decided to rename the streets, instead of simply changing them to Koln.
Nowadays, the street is called Prague Boulevard.
The city council says this decision was the result of the fact that Koln was “the centre of a thriving community, with its own identity”.
But the name itself has been changing for years, as the city’s name changes.
So the question is, will it change again?
The Prague Municipality says it will make a decision on the name in the next couple of months.
This time, it’s likely that the city will rename the street as Koln Boulevard.
As it is, the main part of the street will be renamed Prague Avenue.
The new name will then be changed back to Kohan Boulevard in 2018.
